Black Bruin
- LSHT radial piston wheel motor
Small compact construction
Black Bruin motors - with standard rim attachments, built-in brakes,
and small overall size - are easy to adapt and mount. Light compact construction
for individual wheel-hub units imposes no limitation in vehicle design; no
conventional axles or reduction gears are needed.
Remarkable low speed characteristics
Black Bruin motors run smoothly at speeds close
to zero. The radial piston cam curve design motors are precisely balanced,
providing constant ripple free output torque.
Superior starting torque
Black Bruin radial piston construction provides high starting torque to
achieve maximum tractive effort when starting from standstill or for smooth
steady traction in low speed conditions.
Freewheeling and re-engagement
while moving
Black Bruin motors can be freewheeled either hydraulically or mechanically.
This feature allows the motors to work in multi-speed transmission designs,
or to be freewheeled on towed vehicles at high speeds. The motors can be re-engaged,
or disengaged while the vehicle is moving. Hydraulic power is not required
when the mechanical free wheel option is installed.
Planetary
Reducers and Wheel Drives
Key
factors influencing the effectiveness of this product are the personnel's
total dedication to service, flexibility in engineering and the modular construction
of the components, making it the modern answer to the increasing demands for
compactness, cost-effective simplicity, and reliability.
"PG" planetary gear units are divided into 15 basic groups depending on the amount of torque to be transmitted through the output shaft, which can be as high as 150,000 lb-ft.
The primary physical advantages offered by the modular construction include the possibility to combine a series of stages of different sizes in order to obtain a vast range of reduction ratios from 3:1 to 2500:1. It also permits the coupling of bevel gears, worm gears and brakes, as well as a diverse selection of output shafts, flanges and input adapters for hydraulic, mechanical and electrical prime movers.
APPLICATIONS
We have successfully applied the "PG" series gearboxes in industrial
and mobile applications, such as chemical plants, machine tools, marble processing,
lifting and handling machinery, farm machinery and tunneling equipment for
the marine, oil and gas production, entertainment, logging, mining, food,
transportation, construction, aerospace, energy, underwater, and ecology industries.
The SOM PGR (F) and PGW (F) rotating housing drives have been developed with specific applications in mind. The PGR design puts both the stationary and rotating flanges close together to accommodate the demands of small track driven vehicles, winches, and live conveyor roll drives.
The PGW units have been built for wheel drives that encounter high shock loads, axial steering forces, and heavy off center loading.
Please consult North American Hydraulics for the drive that fits your application. Integral Gerotor and Axial Piston Motors are available. Options include mechanical disconnect and parking brakes.
Rototilt
™ provides a combined rotating/tilting excavating action, which
permits entirely new and sometimes revolutionary applications for excavators.
Rototilt ™ allows 360o
unlimited rotation in both directions and 40o of side tilting in
each direction. It is constructed around a robust, solidly supported and sealed
worm gear, combined with low-mounted, powerful telescoping tilt-cylinders
and a hydraulic swivel capable of hefty oil flows. Added with a convenient
hydraulic quick coupler, you gain the versatility of using a single machine
with a broad assortment of tools and attachments such as; grapples, clamshell
buckets, augers, ditching buckets, cut-off saws, thumbs, and more. Ask about
custom applications,
designed specifically for your tools and attachments.
Indexator’s patented Rototilt ™ design is proven & tested in Europe & Canada, and renowned for its quality and high operating reliability. Rototilt™ broadens the scope of your excavator, allowing you tackle tough projects with a wide range of tasks, with less manpower, and fewer machines. Thus, you are not only rewarded with a quicker return on investment, but also much higher safety factors & profit margins.

Industrial & Forest Grapple Rotators
The Indexator range of industrial rotators is designed and manufactured for tough and demanding applications, common in the handling of scrap metal and building materials. The industrial rotator is a direct development from our successful forestry rotators.
Sturdiness
The internal fluid channels are designed for high flow rates as
required by large grapples, etc. Bearings are dimensioned to withstand large
external forces from all directions, vertically and horizontally.
The Indexator industrial rotator consists of two main parts, a combined swivel and bearing housing and a bolt-on motor section that is fully relieved from external forces. (The unit can be used with or without the drive motor section, for driven or free rotation.)
Quality
All Indexator rotators are manufactured to the highest quality
standards.
The wide range of applications for which Indexator rotators are used necessitates superior quality products to withstand the most severe working conditions, such as those encountered during felling and harvesting of timber.

Track
Drives and Winch Drives
The combination of a high performance bent axis motor and a gear box with
precision ground gears, gives a final drive with high starting torque - excellent
mechanical efficiency while operating, and long dependable life. The O &
K is well suited to industrial applications and mobile drives.
The
mountings of the final drive to the machine and of the drive sprocket to the
final drive are affected by well-sized bolts; power transmission is effected
by friction.
Maximum efficiency is guaranteed by
Together with your technical staff we will work out transmission ratio as well as type and size of hydraulic motors to be utilized in accordance to necessary travel speed and torque required. Dimensions and weight not strictly obligatory.
